Noel is the father of sports chiropractic in Australia and one of the original pioneers of sports chiropractic worldwide. He was the founder and president of the Australian Sports Chiropractic Association and also the co-founder and president of FICS. He has lectured in over 30 countries on sports chiropractic and sporting injuries, and is the author of three books and numerous papers.

aronDr Aron Downie
Aron is a chiropractor, health researcher and full-time lecturer at Macquarie University Department of Chiropractic and has been in continual practice for 23 years. He completed his Master of Philosophy in 2011 and is currently working towards a PhD at the University of Sydney Medical School. His research focus is on recovery from spinal pain and the reliability of screening tools to assist primary clinicians interpret the evidence for both screening of pathology and understanding of recovery for people with back pain.

matthew bagg photoDr Matthew Bagg
Matthew is a clinical scientist and physiotherapist at Neuroscience Research Australia, where he is currently completing his PhD through UNSW. Matthew’s research focus has two main goals.  
The first is developing and testing new treatment strategies that target the brain for people with persistent pain. The second is establishing a hierarchy of analgesic medicines’ effectiveness and tolerability, so as to facilitate more informed clinical decision-making.

matt2Dr Matt Fernandez
Matt is a chiropractor and exercise physiologist practising within a multidisciplinary clinic in the Inner West of Sydney.  He was recently awarded his PhD titled: back pain, comorbidities and interventions for sciatica, culminating in a number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals from the University of Sydney.  He also lectures at the Department of Chiropractic, Macquarie University and has presented at numerous back pain conferences both nationally and internationally.

Over his 30 year career, David has had a variety of consultancy and management roles, giving him a broad knowledge of State and Federal Industrial Relations legislation and relevant industrial bodies. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Relations/Personnel Management with a sub-major in Business Law (University of Technology, Sydney) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. David is a member of CPA Australia.

Dr John Kelly
johnDr Kelly is a 1978 graduate and past principal of the Sydney College of Chiropractic. He has lectured for 25 years to undergraduate students in the subjects of neurology, chiropractic philosophy and practice management and he has been in continuous private practice for 36 years. Since 1986 he has been a consultant on over 285 medico-legal matters and has lectured extensively throughout Australia and in New Zealand on risk management and related subjects since 2000.


Dr Warren Genders
WarrenGendersDr Genders has been a practicing chiropractor since 2000 following graduating from Macquarie University. He has undertaken further studies in sports chiropractic, wellness and chiropractic neurology passing his Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB) exams in 2012. Being governance trained as a graduate of the Australian institute of company directors and serving on boards for the last 13 years has taught him the importance of understanding risk management and how best to deliver chiropractic services in an ethical and patient-focused way.

Nevena hs more than 20 years’ experience as a health and insurance lawyer. Her experience with liability claims is enhanced from having worked as a senior solicitor at NZI/CGU Insurance Ltd for five years. Throughout her career Nevena has advised numerous major insurers on statutory schemes and defending personal injury and property damage claims for public and product liability and professional indemnity matters.

wayne reillyWayne Reilly has been using lasers in his multimodality clinic for several years. He is a Biochemist by training, with over 50 published journal articles in many areas of health and medicine. He was a co-inventor of a new lipophillic delivery system for carrying bioactive molecules into the skin which became the basis of his 2nd and 3rd international patents.
